💙 Thank You, MMG Insurance! We’re grateful for MMG’s support of the Northern Light Dialysis Center in Presque Isle—funding a new dialysis machine to serve patients across The County. Have you heard? Chuck and Belinda Lawrence are the 2026 Honorary Chairs of Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Champion the Cure Challenge!

Chuck and Belinda are longtime advocates for healthcare in Maine. They are supporters of Northern Light Cancer Care in the Lafayette Family Cancer Institute, Northern Light Blue Hill Hospital’s Keeping Our Promise Campaign, as well as Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital’s Mary Dow Cancer Center.

Their Tradewinds Oncology Fund, which supports our patients at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center and Maine Coast Hospital, provides help with critical needs during cancer treatment, including transportation assistance to and from appointments, lodging, and medical expenses. It also helps provide wigs for patients who experience hair loss from cancer treatment.

Congratulations to Fred Forsley, the 2026 recipient of the Mainebiz Lifetime Achievement Award! Fred’s longstanding support of Northern Light Mercy Hospital's Gary’s House has made a lasting difference for countless families. His leadership and generosity helped bring this vital resource to life, and his continued commitment reflects a deep belief in caring for others. In recognition of his all he has done to support Gary's House, Mercy established the Forsley Award in 2015 to honor community leaders who reflect his spirit of generosity.

Fred’s willingness to give back—through mentorship, philanthropy, and quiet acts of support—has touched so many. We are grateful for his example and proud to celebrate this recognition.

David Brewster has long been known for his quiet generosity, supporting Northern Light C.A. Dean Hospital and other local charities that help neighbors access food, shelter, transportation, and healthcare.

In 2025, he learned of a critical need for a wheelchair accessible van to serve our patients across Piscataquis County, where public transportation is unavailable. Understanding how vital reliable transportation is, especially in rural Maine, David stepped forward and funded the entire purchase.

Thanks to his generosity, the van is expected to be in service by the end of 2026, helping ensure more of our patients can get the care they need.
