Infusion day for me. Not going to lie, the last month has taken a toll. Today we get the fuel I will need to be the best support I can be while we focus on kicking cancer's ass.
Without it I would be exhausted and too stiff to move. With it, I can handle all of the complex situations life throws my way!

Last Friday my world flipped upside down. My husband, my best friend, partner for life, was diagnosed with a high grade non hodgkins lymphoma. Suddenly everything changed.

After a few tense days waiting for answers and a plan from our local hospital, we were given the option to transfer to Dana Farber at Brigham and Women's. An option we were glad to take.

I've never seen the medical world move this fast. To say that this hospital is top notch is an understatement. We feel incredibly blessed to be here.

The outpouring of love and support from our family, friends and community has been overwhelming in the best of ways. We are grateful for the amazing people who have been placed on our path.

The road ahead will not be easy but we know we have the support we need to walk it. If you pray, please say a prayer for our family. If you don't, please do whatever juju you do do. Support is support and we will take it in all forms.

7 years ago I advocated for a hip replacement. It changed my life. Rheumatoid arthritis had destroyed my hip, taking my mobility with it. Thanks to my amazing surgeon, Dr.Brooks, I have spent the last 7 years gaining strength and doing the things I want to, on my own two feet. Because I asked for a second opinion.
