Medical assistants play an essential role in quality, patient experience, care coordination, and the day-to-day flow of clinical practice.

As part of the CCPM Annual Conference, medical assistants participated in concurrent Medical Assistant Skills Enhancement Training focused on the practical work that powers quality, patient experience, care coordination, and the day-to-day flow of clinical practice.

Participants explored everyday excellence, pre-visit planning, team communication, motivational interviewing, and strategies to help high-risk patients stay on track with care.

Thank you to every medical assistant who joined the learning, brought their experience to the conversation, and continues to make a difference for patients and care teams each day.

Events like the CCPM Annual Conference take a full team, and we are incredibly grateful to the entire CCPM team for the planning, coordination, and hard work that made this year’s event such a success.

They also take someone who keeps all the pieces moving, makes sure everyone knows their role, stays ahead of the details, and ensures the space and experience come together just right. For us, that was Danielle, our Executive Administrator.

So much of Danielle’s work happens behind the scenes, which is why we are especially glad to share these photos and recognize her leadership, organization, and care.

Thank you, Danielle, and thank you to the entire CCPM team for a great event!

Thank you to everyone who helped make the CCPM Annual Conference 2026 such a meaningful day of learning, connection, and celebration on September 1, 2026.

Leaders from health care organizations across the State came together at the University of Maine to share ideas, recognize outstanding work, and strengthen the relationships that support communities across Maine.

We were also grateful to welcome more than 15 external partner organizations—including grant funders and payers—whose partnership and participation contributed to the day’s conversations and collaboration.

For many attendees, the conference created a valuable opportunity to connect face to face for the first time. From thoughtful learning sessions and networking, to the Hall of Members and awards celebration, the day reflected the strength of CCPM’s network.

To our members, clinicians, leaders, speakers, community partners, funders, payers, award recipients, and CCPM staff: thank you for being part of this conference and for the work you do for our communities.

Harrington Family Health Center recently welcomed one of our grant funders for a closer look at the innovative workforce strategies strengthening care in Downeast Maine. Our CCPM team had the opportunity to join the visit.

Our time together highlighted how Harrington is responding to rural workforce challenges with practical, community-centered solutions—from investing in staff retention and wellness, to creating meaningful career pathways for local residents, and advancing shared staffing and community paramedicine partnerships. These efforts help reduce barriers to training, while building the skilled workforce community health centers need now and in the future.
We are proud to collaborate in support of organizations like Harrington, bringing together complementary staff expertise and resources to help health centers strengthen recruitment, upskilling, retention, and patient care. Thank you to the Harrington team and all participants for making the visit such a thoughtful and informative opportunity to learn together.

CCPM is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced RN to join our team as a virtual RN!

This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys looking beyond the walls of a single practice or hospital and wants to help improve care across an entire network of organizations. The role supports transitional care, medication management, population health, and quality improvement in partnership with care teams across Maine.

A few highlights:

* 32 hours/week
* Remote — can be located anywhere in Maine
* Strong benefits
* A collaborative, kind, and high-performing team
* An opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how care is coordinated for patients across the state

If you know a nurse who would thrive in this kind of role, please share this with them — and if it sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

Say congratulations to Stephanie Comstock on her 5-year work anniversary with CCPM!
Stephanie serves as one of CCPM’s Quality Improvement Specialists. Working with member organizations to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective change management strategies. Through data-driven analysis, technical assistance, training, and ongoing support, she helps strengthen clinical quality outcomes, promote safe and effective care, and advance continuous quality improvement across the ACO.

When asked what she enjoys most about working at CCPM, Stephanie shared:
“There is so much to enjoy working at CCPM. Over the past five years, I’ve watched stress turn into flexibility, colleagues turn into friends, and a job turn into a passion. The culture of this company is rooted in kindness, respect, and inclusivity, and
when you are surrounded by like-minded individuals working toward the same goals, it becomes easy to offer those same qualities back to the world at a time when they are desperately needed. Beyond that, the work we do on a day-to-day basis is deeply important. At CCPM, our teams collaborate in countless ways to support our organizations and the patients they serve, which in turn strengthens Public Health as a whole. I am grateful every day to be part of the work we do and the culture we’ve built together.”

We are grateful for Stephanie’s dedication and the impact she makes every day—congratulations on this milestone!

Happy National Health Center Week!

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible people and teams across the health centers that are part of Community Care Partnership of Maine who show up every day for their neighbors.

This year’s theme, “Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most,” reflects what our network does every day: bringing creative solutions, local partnerships, and patient-centered care to communities across Maine.

Because of you, patients can count on welcoming care, strong relationships, and support that goes far beyond the exam room. Together, we’re advancing population health and making it easier for every person to get the care they deserve—right where they live, work, and play.
