Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Personal Support Specialist (PSS)

Position Overview
We are hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Personal Support Specialists (PSSs) to assist residents with daily living activities, support their independence, encourage community engagement, and ensure a warm, respectful, and supportive home environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on support with ADLs including bathing, grooming, mobility, dressing, and toileting
Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary needs
Implement care plans and maintain accurate documentation
Support residents with medications (after completing required training)
Encourage social, recreational, and community activities
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
Monitor residents for health, behavioral, or safety concerns and report changes immediately
Uphold Pinecrest Haven’s core values of dignity, respect, empathy, and connection
Required Qualifications
Active PSS certificate or willingness to obtain
Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
Clean background check (State & FBI)
Reliable transportation
Ability to lift 25–40 lbs and assist with mobility
Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
Preferred (Not Required)
DSP certification
Previous experience in residential care or behavioral health
Schedule & Compensation
Flexible schedules: Day, Overnight, and Weekend shifts
Competitive hourly rate based on experience
