WE’RE BACK, BABY!

Fall Community Sauna season is here. September, October, and November dates are up on the website. Three months of crisp air, cold water, cedar heat, and gathering together as the season turns.

We’ll be returning to some of our favorite spots around MDI, plus our new favorite spot in Lamoine.

Whether you’ve been sauna-ing with us since the beginning or this will be your very first Selkie experience, there’s a place for you on the bench.

Grab a spot, bring your towel, and meet us at the water’s edge. We’ve missed you! Let’s sauna!

On the longest day, the sea keeps watch,
breathing in silver and breathing out light.

Tonight, we borrow the season’s gift:
warmth on our skin, laughter in the steam,
the sound of waves against the shore,
and the simple joy of being here.

May your Summer Solstice be
bright, gentle, and full of grace.
With the ocean at your feet,
and summer opening wide before you.

TO A CEDAR
By: Carol Mays

I had nearly forgotten who I was
Until I sensed your easy strength
and heard the timelessness
of your years.
Until I caught the sparkle
of your lacy light
and showered
in your fragrance
Until I recognized your verdancy
jumping the primal circuit.

Selkie Sauna sits at the tide line.
Connecting sauna, community, and the sea.

Step from steam into saltwater,
from conversation into quiet,
from yourself back into community.

Celebrating World Sauna Day, as it should be. 🌊🔥

Our dear sweet Raven is back in action! After a rough and tumble injury to her “wings” via a nasty Maine pothole, we are so thrilled to see her back at the beach.

Just four more weekends in the community sauna season, before we shift into our Summer Rhythm. Make sure to book yourself some sauna love soon! ❤️🔥
