Our residents recently decorated canvas zipper pouches to match their hand-painted tote bags, creating one-of-a-kind sets full of color and personality.

Seeing everyone's creativity shine through these projects is always a joy. Every design is unique, and every pouch tells its own story. 💚

🎨🌿 Celebrating Local Talent and Creativity! 🌿🎨

We were delighted to welcome Carly Jordahl, a recent North Dakota State University graduate, who shared her artistic talents with our residents in a truly special way. Carly created and donated beautifully designed, nature-inspired coloring sheets and led a creative coloring activity that brought smiles, conversation, and plenty of artistic expression.

The intricate nature scenes inspired residents to relax, create, and enjoy an afternoon filled with color and creativity. Thank you, Carly, for sharing your talent, time, and kindness with us. We love supporting local artists and appreciate the joy you brought to our community! 💚

🚜 Some of the best days are spent making memories together. 💚

Our residents were fortunate to attend Nursing Home Day at the WMSTR - Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion in Rollag and enjoyed an early preview of one of the region's most beloved traditions. From train rides and tours to good food and great company, the day was filled with experiences our residents truly loved.

We are incredibly grateful to WMSTR and the many volunteers who make this event possible each year. Thank you for opening your gates and your hearts to so many and allowing them all to be part of such a special event. 🚂🌾

The memories made were priceless! ✨

More than a week after Potato Days, the beauty is still blooming at Valley Care and Rehab! 💐

A special thank you to Pocket Full of Posies for generously donating extra flowers following Potato Days. These gorgeous blooms helped us create cheerful centerpieces for our residents to enjoy on the dining tables, and we're amazed at how long they've stayed beautiful! Their colorful beauty brightened our tables, sparked conversations, and brought smiles to so many faces.

It's wonderful to see how the spirit of Potato Days continues to brighten our community, even weeks later.

🐾Yesterday, we celebrated National Dog Day by remembering some very special companions. 💖

In honor of all dogs, our residents shared the names of beloved dogs from years gone by, while staff shared photos of the furry friends who brighten their lives. From faithful childhood companions to today's couch cuddlers, farm dogs, and loyal family pets, each one holds a special place in our hearts.

Valley Care & Rehab was recently ranked in the top 5% of nursing homes in Minnesota and is one of only six nursing homes in the state to earn 5 stars in every CMS rating category.
Even more remarkable, out of the 900+ facilities across Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota, only nine facilities have achieved this distinction - placing us in the top 1% in our region.
That's an incredible accomplishment, but what matters most is what it represents. 💚
This represents our caregivers who treat residents like families. This represents teamwork, compassion, dedication, and a commitment to providing exceptional care every single day! 💖

This month, we're honored to recognize Lynn for her many years of dedicated service to Valley Care & Rehab. Throughout her time here, she has worked in nearly every department, always stepping up wherever she was needed and making a difference in the lives of our residents. 💖

Lynn's favorite part of her job is listening to residents' stories and hearing them sing, a reflection of the genuine connections she builds each day. Her compassion, dedication, and caring heart have touched countless residents, families, and coworkers over the years. 🎶

If you know Lynn, you know she has a big heart. Given a million dollars, she would throw a pizza and ice cream party for every resident and staff member before heading off into retirement! Her kindness and caring spirit shine through in all that she does. She also credits her mom as her greatest hero, admiring her strength and the wisdom she shared throughout her life. 🍕🍨
