We are looking for a handful of people who fit the following criteria to participate in our case analysis.

- 18 y/o+
- skin of color
- has BCBS, Cigna, Aetna or UHC insurance (or willing to pay out of pocket ~$1,200 over the course of 1 year)
- not currently undergoing treatment
- willing & able to commit to regular sessions(bi-weekly/monthly) with both clinicians throughout the treatment plan during normal business hours, Tuesdays or Thursdays
- able to pay an initial patient fee $150
- not required, but a plus if you have metabolic disorders like diabetes, PCOS or gut issues like IBS.

Our first Rooted in Wellness workshop starts next Wednesday April 22nd. It is a culinary nutrition program focused on building cooking skills, using fresh local foods, and learning how everyday meals can support heart health and disease prevention.

​Participants will engage in hands on cooking activities, nutrition education curated by a registered dietitian, and learn practical strategies for preparing simple, nourishing meals at home using affordable, seasonal ingredients.

Rooted in Wellness is a culinary nutrition program focused on building cooking skills, using fresh local foods, and learning how everyday meals can support heart health and disease prevention.

​Participants will engage in hands on cooking activities, nutrition education curated by a registered dietitian, and learn practical strategies for preparing simple, nourishing meals at home using affordable, seasonal ingredients. This program is designed from a culturally relevant perspective and supports individuals managing or working to prevent chronic conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes.

Our team had the opportunity to lead a Caring for Your Heart + Culinary Nutrition Workshop for the incredible employees at Memphis Shelby County Schools (MSCS) ♥️

We explored how nutrition, culture and community come together to support heart health.

Through hands on culinary activities and real life discussion, participants learned how small, sustainable changes in can make a big impact on blood pressure, cholesterol levels, inflammation and overall well being.
