The first injectable filler was candle wax. Vienna, 1899. Warmed paraffin, injected under the skin.
It looked immediate, and for a while it looked good. Nobody asked where that wax would be in ten years. It moved, it hardened, and the body could never break it down.
Today's fillers are mapped, measured and reversible. That last word is the entire difference.
