When I was 45, I was faced with my husband having cancer; he was an invested employee with a hospital for over 16 years. They did away with his long-term insurance and I had no choice but to get him and my family on Me

dicaid. I had no idea what questions to ask or what to do. {If you do not ask the right questions, you will not get the right answers or the help that you need.} #

Since I became a widow and single mom of 3 children, I now had to navigate the waters of Medicare and Medicaid, it was total confusion on top of everything else. #

I made my way through the trees and confusion and came out on top. My faithful God has shown me grace and given me the skills and knowledge to master the Medicare world. {I now know what my mission field is.} My mission is to help people with those questions and answers. I am here for you and willing to go the extra mile for each client to make sure your experience in the Healthcare world is easy. I never charge for my services as this is my ministry. #

Each year I have to take a grueling test to stay certified with all the Medicare carriers and by His grace it is all very easy for me to certify. This is how my company started. Since then, I was remarried to David, my {Best Friend} and now my administrator assistant, after leaving his job and Medicare Solutions Made Easy was born. To keep up with C.M.S. {Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services} guidelines companies cannot have the word Medicare in the title of their business name, so All About Senior Insurance & More was born. #

Did you know that there is a difference between Medicare and Social Security ???

What is the difference you ask?

Social Security is the amount of F**A (Federal Insurance Contributions Act), which you can start collecting at age 62.
There are many factors on when and how to collect, however, depending on your FRA(Full Retirement Age) to see what is best for you. If you make an account under SSA.gov one can see the amount you will get from contributions to your account.

Then what is Medicare???

Medicare is when you're able to draw your Medicare Insurance benefits for your part A and B when you turn 65. Not all are able to draw the Medicare Plan and there are a few exceptions for those to draw earlier or later. One has to put in 40 quarters to collect such benefits.

SSA.gov also allows you to see where you are on your quarters as well.

Here recently I have had several people come to me and tell me that their Medicare card has expired.
Fact, no one can use a Medicare card that has your Social Security on it.
There is MBI(Member Benefit ID) numbers now that have a series of Letters and Numbers. See Below V
Fact, Medicare cards never expire. They have an effective part A and B dates which means it is when the part of the Medicare that went into effect, during that month and that year when you asked for Medicare to Start.

Example :

Jane Doe
8AB6-CD7-EF53

Hospital (Part A) 01-01-1969
Medical (Part B) 12-01-1971

This will come in a 5x11 envelope most likely and is a paper card.
