Outside of being a busy business owner of Batavia Wellness NP , I am also a wife to my husband, and today we celebrate 14 years of marriage!
How insane it is to say that outloud!! It's surreal to think that 14 years ago today, we exchanged vows on this very cold autumn day. Wow have the years truly flew by!!
How do I write this post without sounding clichรฉ and like one of those generic anniversary facebook posts? Well here it goes, in my own words and from my heart, to my husband of 14 years...
I thank God for this man every day and can't believe he brought him millions of miles away from a small town in Francisco Ibarra Ramos, Pueblo, Mexico all the way here to this small town in Byron, NY.
Marriage isn't easy, it never was meant to be. It is filled with tribulation and there will be disagreements and trials throughout the years that will seriously test the limits of your marriage. There were times we didn't think we'd make it this far. There were times I asked God to seriously help us, to strengthen our relationship...However, we always chose each other and our bond is stronger today than it ever was before.
I thank my husband so much for being the most hardest working man I know, for always believing in my potential and inspiring me to pursue my education, career and eventually open my own practice. He believed so much more in me than I ever did in myself and I thank him so much for that!
So if you ever see him around the clinic, outside working on the roof, mowing the lawn or trimming bushes, know that he's the man behind the inspiration of why I do what I do ๐ฉท
It's funny to think that just last year we had 2 children, thinking our family was complete... but God had other plans and was like "ya know, I think they can handle 2 more... at once!" And boom, just like that we are now parents to 4 amazing children!
But I'm so grateful that we get to raise them together, side by side, under one roof, building a home filled with love, stability, and memories they'll carry and cherish with them forever.
Having grown up with my parents in separate households, I don't take for granted how special it is to share this journey together and give our children the experience of having both parents present in their everyday lives. โค๏ธ
One thing I've learned after 14 years of marriage ( I sound like those old ladies after 50 years of marriage giving advice to the younger generation ๐
), is to never go to bed angry, to forgive each other EVERY day, to stop getting mad over the small things, to always kill an argument with humor and laughter, don't argue over money, take your wife to get her iced coffee, let her get botox, let her book another vacation (or disney trip ๐ซฃ), and let him buy another tool or car toy that he doesn't need. Just make eachother happy!

Go to the gym and exercise together, meet your protein goals together, go get labwork together, take your vitamins together, eat healthy food together, cook together, grow a garden together, optimize your hormones together, go to appointments together, encourage one another when we gain weight and need to get back on track together, encourage one another to get up and go to the gym before the kids get up, encourage one another to stay healthy for eachother and for our family we built TOGETHER.
Your marriage only consists of the 2 of you and the goal is to grow old together but we cant do that by being obese with high cholesterol, diabetic or with cardiovascular disease. ๐ฉโโ๏ธ
So to my husband Andres Rojas , 14 years ago I chose you, still choose you, and will forever choose you for many years to come.
Here's to forever ๐ฅ๐
