Members of the Louisiana Commission for the Deaf Board of Commissioners are critical to the work we do.

Today, we want to spotlight Brandy Bordelon for all the hard work she does for Louisiana’s d/Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard of hearing communities.

Brandy’s commitment to service and advocacy has earned her significant recognition. In 2023, she received awards from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) for her volunteer work during Hurricane Ida. She was also honored by the Hamilton Relay and the Louisiana Association of the Deaf (LAAD) in 2023 for her community contributions.

Thank you, Brandy!
