We are thrilled to share that House Resolution 74 (HR 74), authored by State Representative Dustin Miller, has officially passed!

This is another step forward for classroom safety and inclusion. HR 74 officially requests the Louisiana Department of Education to report exactly how our public schools are accommodating and protecting students living with seizures.

Every child deserves a safe environment to learn, and every family deserves peace of mind when they drop their kid off at school. This resolution keeps the focus right where it belongs: on the safety, health, and success of our students.

Thank you to everyone in the community who advocated, shared their stories, and made their voices heard to push this across the finish line! 🙌

In just 2 weeks, Epilepsy Alliance Louisiana is hosting an exclusive advance screening of Under the Lights at Cinemark Perkins Rowe on June 16th from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM!

🎬 This powerful film follows a teenager living with epilepsy and is only being shown in a select few cities before its official release. And guess what? Baton Rouge made the list! 💜

We are thrilled to host our 3rd Seize the Day Acadiana on September 20, 2026. This event is 1 of 4 fundraising events across the state dedicated to supporting people with epilepsy. For over 20 years, we’ve featured a 1-mile run/walk, which is now called the "Warrior Walk." To better align with our mission and to honor the strength and courage of those affected by epilepsy, the Warrior Walk will now be a walk-only event and will not be timed.

This year, we’re excited to announce the return of the 5K run, joining our signature 1‑mile Warrior Walk. Our goal is to create a more inclusive and accessible experience, giving participants multiple ways to get involved and support our mission. By offering both distances, we’re able to welcome a wider range of ages, abilities, and fitness levels while continuing to strengthen community engagement across Louisiana.
