Congratulations to all of the Community Health Centers who took part in National Association of Community Health Centers ’s 2-Day Hackathon: Health Center Ready Series in New Orleans hosted by CrescentCare ! This event invited participating health centers to develop new ideas that would strengthen natural disaster preparedness for extreme weather events affecting New Orleans and the surrounding areas.

This collaborative event demonstrated the innovation and passion of our Health Center network, and our very own Gerrelda Davis and Dara Stout were honored to participate as a judges.

Join LPCA for the final installment of our maternal mortality series, “Preeclampsia & Maternal Health.” This session will explore the correlation between NICU admissions, infant mortality, and maternal health outcomes.

This session will cover preeclampsia as a leading cause of maternal morbidity and mortality. Participants will learn its causes, risk factors, and early diagnostic criteria. The talk will highlight complications such as eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, stroke, and fetal growth restriction. Evidence‑based management, including antihypertensives, aspirin, magnesium sulfate, timely delivery, postpartum care, and follow-up, will be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on prevention, early recognition, and referral to reduce maternal deaths, empowering primary care physicians, LPCA staff, and healthcare workers to improve maternal outcomes.
