πŸ’™ Every child deserves a voice!

For children with communication challenges, AAC can open doors to connection, learning, and meaningful interactions with family, friends, and peers.

Introducing AAC early can make a powerful difference in a child’s ability to communicate and participate in the world around them. πŸ’™

Reading together is one of the best ways to support your child’s learning, communication, and connection with you. Even a few minutes each day can help build language, imagination, and social skills. πŸ’™

Here are a few tips for sharing books and stories with children with medical and developmental challenges.

Remember: Every child learns at their own pace. Sharing books helps build language, literacy, imagination, and stronger family connections. The most important part is spending time together and making reading enjoyable. 🌟

For children with special healthcare needs, independence matters. πŸ’™

Every child deserves the opportunity to build confidence and develop independence at their own pace. For children with special healthcare needs, encouraging self-care, communication, and participation in daily health routines can foster self-esteem, strengthen life skills, and prepare them for greater responsibility as they grow.

Remember, independence looks different for every child. By supporting their unique abilities and developmental stage, we empower them to reach their fullest potential, one step at a time. 🌟

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved colleague and cherished member of the HealthCare for Kids family, Eva Rojas. πŸ•Š

Eva Rojas dedicated 8 years to Healthcare for Kids PPEC as an LPN. Though she worked with all ages throughout her time here, she was best known for being the 'grandma' of the Pre-K room, able to get kids excited for learning in a short amount of time. She and her patient care technician,Tonya, worked tirelessly as a team to teach kids the life skills needed to succeed.

Eva had a passion for challenging kids to reach their fullest potential, always knowing they could achieve their goals and beyond. Eva was an energetic and vivacious soul, able to run laps around the youngest employees in the center. Outside of work, she adored her family, especially her granddaughters.

She was an avid beachgoer, finding peace in the ocean. She even hung a picture of the beach in the break room because, Everyone needs a little bit of the beach. Eva will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her memory will live on in everything we do at PPEC.πŸ’™
