Today was the first time we have had to publicly address an interaction involving a disrespectful customer, and while we always strive to handle situations professionally and respectfully, we also believe it is important to clarify what occurred.

Earlier today, a customer contacted us to ask whether our piercer was available and whether we offered eyebrow piercings.
Kayde explained that our piercing walk-ins are accepted until 5:30 PM and that an eyebrow piercing is $45 total.
When the customer arrived, however, it became clear that she was not seeking an eyebrow piercing for herself. She had brought her 12-year-old daughter in to have her eyebrow pierced.

Our piercer politely explained that, due to our professional and personal moral standards, we do not perform eyebrow piercings on anyone under the age of 16.
This is a policy we stand by and one we are happy to explain and educate customers about when given the opportunity.
Unfortunately, before our piercer was able to provide that explanation, she was repeatedly interrupted by both the customer, Melissa, and the gentleman accompanying her, Lucas. The conversation ultimately ended with the group leaving our establishment and visiting another shop that was willing to perform the piercing on her daughter.

We fully respect that customers are free to choose another business if our policies do not align with what they are looking for. Likewise, we reserve the right to decline a service when we believe it conflicts with our professional standards, ethics, or policies.
We are always willing to have a respectful conversation about our policies and the reasoning behind them.
What we cannot accept is harassment, repeated interruptions, or disrespect toward our staff.
We appreciate the customers who continue to support our business and understand that our policies are in place because we take the safety, well-being, and professional standards of our clients and piercers seriously.
