Cultivate Physical Therapy

Cultivate Physical Therapy Cultivate was created because of a stirring that God wanted me to reach people where they are. Dr. Katie Keck, PT, DPT, CDNT

Hi! My name is Katie Keck.

I believe that healing is not just physical but internal, and Cultivate strives to form a relationship to meet your goals to live a pain and dizziness free life I have been a physical therapist for 11 years. I am passionate about all things Vestibular and Orthopedic. I fell in low with Vestibular Rehab when I was in PT school. The experience was new for me, and I saw how many people were affected

by dizziness. I saw the toll that it takes on people, and I also realized how often the symptoms are pushed aside or overlooked as "normal". There are many causes to dizziness, and I want to help people understand where their symptoms are coming from and to lead them in the right direction for treatments. Everyone deserves to live a life free from dizziness and pain. I graduated from East Tennessee State University's DPT program in 2014. I started my career being heavily trained in Orthopedic manual therapy, and in 2016 furthered my education in Vestibular Rehabilitation through Emory University's Competency Certification. I am currently finishing up my Advanced Vestibular Physical Therapy Certification through The University of Pittsburgh. I am also a Certified Dry Needling Therapist (CDNT), which is a great tool for both my Vestibular and Orthopedic clients. I am excited to bring this knowledge and skill to serve my community. When I am not treating clients, you can find me hanging out with my husband or playing outside with my 3 kiddos and sweet dog, Ruby. I love to spend time outside in God's creation and take the kids to the park. You can also find me curled up in a cozy chair reading a good book when there is a quiet moment.

Being a new business owner has been challenging at times. I have no idea what I am doing (except for the PT part, that I know😊) but it seems a lot simpler when ai remember that I am being obedient to the next step God has called me too. It has become less stressful and more of an exciting adventure to see what comes next. I have met so many wonderful people already, and I have been able to help their bodies heal. It has been really cool to see God’s faithfulness along the way.

I got a gift, but what is it?! It is the vestibulocochlear system and some Otoconia. The Otoconia are the pesky little crystals that you hear about getting into your semicircular canals causing positional vertigo. Want to know something cool? Sometimes your body will actually reabsorb them, but sometimes it doesn’t. Also, don’t worry, they are not really this size, they are much smaller! Have you ever had positional vertigo?
