Retinol after 50: Love it or leave it? 👇

This may be an unpopular opinion, but as an esthetician, I don’t believe beautiful aging should come at the expense of your skin barrier.

For many women over 50, skin becomes thinner, drier, more sensitive, and slower to recover. While retinol has its place, I’ve often found that gentler alternatives—like retinaldehyde and other supportive ingredients—can deliver beautiful results without the redness, burning, peeling, and irritation that so many women simply accept as “part of the process.”

Here’s what I believe:

✨ Protecting your skin barrier is just as important as stimulating collagen.
