Great turnout at the Smith County Senior Citizen Day in Raleigh, Ms on Friday August 21st. Shout out to the ones who put this event on. The selection of vendors, entertainment and food was great. Thankful for the invitation. Enjoyed meeting so many people and the opportunity to share the services that ProCare Home Health (a Division of Jasper General Hospital) offers and how to utilize the services. Proud of the agency staff that helped with the display, the goodie bags and represented ProCare at the event. Looking forward to being a part of this event in the future. The ProCare Home Health office will be closed today in observance of the Fourth of July holiday. On call services will be available through the office number. Wishing you and your family a time of rest, relaxation and celebration of our country’s 250th Independence Anniversary. We are proud to have served the health care needs in the home for over 50 years. May God continue to bless and protect this great country that we love. Good morning to you. ProCare is making regular scheduled visits today. There are currently 9 roads flooded in Smith Co and none reported in Jasper, Jones, Clarke or Covington at this time. Considering the dynamics of flash flooding, caution is still the word and it may likely be into tomorrow before we see the full impact of this amount of rainfall. Fallen trees is a serious issue with this type flooding as well. Please stay safe and limit travel if possible.

The state has issued warnings for potential “flash flooding” in the areas we serve through Thursday night. The team will be making visits while being observant of weather conditions. There may be situations and areas that makes travel too dangerous. We will be making every effort to make the patient care visits around these threats. Calls will be placed to patients/caregivers if the threat impacts the area of a patient’s home. The on call service will be active and calls will be handled on an individual basis according to conditions. Your prayers will be appreciated. May God bless and protect all.

We had a great time at the Jasper County Senior Citizen Health Fair yesterday. Thank you Wendy Henry and Susan Jenkins for setting up the ProCare Home Health booth and helping to represent our agency. Thanks to Tasha Shedd and the dietary dept from Jasper General for the delicious cookies. We are thankful to be a part of the available health care services in this community.
