Update:
I’m still in operation at the store. Looooooong story but I’ll give you some idea of what is happening. My studio is still for sale. If interested in buying it please contact me asap or call Merle Norman. The studio will be closed Oct 1- 15. I am going on a much needed vacation. On October 15th my final wig sale will start. All hair, hair products, scarfs and turbans will be 50% off. If I need to order your color your discount will be 20% off. I am doing the promotion of new products and holiday gifts. That will be on counter November 1st. If you need anything in quantity I will order it for you but please contact me by end of October as it takes a good 7 days to receive the products.

What is success? . Is it measured by wealth, achievement, fame? I think each person asking this question might have a different answer. For me, it is about accomplishment and happiness. The achievement of a desired vision and the ability and perseverance to see it through. That part of my definition only touches the surface of what I think success is and the rest is harder to define.

There was a blessed magic within my studio each and every day. Thousands of women giving of themselves, sharing their life’s experiences and radiating their love. For all of those shared moments I am forever greatful. I was blessed to have my mother, Peggy qwork by my side and to share with her the ups and downs of my business. In the down times she always lifted me with her faith and positivity. In the good times she taught me gratitude. My husband, Dick showed his faith in me by agreeing to borrow money so that I could fulfill my dream. My son, Kristopher told me that he was proud of me and “My Merle Norman Store”q. My brother, Michael had confidence in my ability to own , operate and sell my studio, I AM SUCCESSFUL!

Success to me is doing my best each day , always working from my heart space and treating people with the respect and dignity that they deserve.

Can success be measured? I suppose it can in a tangible way but I can honestly tell you that I am happy, Happy with my choices in life, content in how I live my life and treat people and blessed with the meaning and purpose that my work provides.
