We invite families with kids and YA’s (aged 18-45) & a guest to join us for a tie dye party!
This free program is for families impacted by cancer.

Held Wednesday, October 21, 6:00-7:00pm at TGP Beachwood.

All materials will be provided and each participant is welcome to bring one additional small, white, natural fiber item (cotton bandana, tshirt, etc.) from home to dye as well.

Don't miss In the Pink art show and raffle at Hudson Fine Art & Framing Company!

Over 50 small canvases are being raffled off – each unique piece is a work of the heart.

Canvases were painted by local artists, and participants and staff of The Gathering Place. The art will be on display until October 31. You can bid on the pieces you love, with winners of each piece drawn on November 1.

This Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, we acknowledge all those living with metastatic breast cancer.

During the month of October, we make room for every breast cancer story, including those that don't end with a declaration of being cancer-free.

The Gathering Place offers free support programs and services, including individual support, support groups, health and wellness classes, and resources for families.

We are here to support individuals diagnosed with any type of cancer, their loved ones, and those grieving the death of a loved one to cancer.

🍋🫐 Blueberry Fizz recipe 🫐🍋

Ingredients:
½ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
Juice of 1 lemon, or about 2 tbsp
1 tsp simple syrup or other sweetener, to taste
Sparkling water
Ice

Directions:
🫐 Muddle blueberries, lemon juice, and simple syrup until all juice is released from the berries.
🫐 Strain into a glass.
🫐 Add ice and top with sparkling water.
🫐 Stir and garnish with lemon.

When a parent is diagnosed with cancer, the whole family feels its impact.

This October, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Cindy and her sons share how her breast cancer journey has shaped their family and how they’ve found support through The Gathering Place.

We’re grateful for their courage and openness, which help other families feel less alone and bring attention to the support children need when a parent has cancer.
