Life has been gleefully handing out the f**kery this summer so Ive taken myself on an emergency retreat to Omega. And here I encountered my trusty spirit animal, Pema Chodron.

She is a baller Buddhist nun who I first experienced in person at Barnes & Noble in Poughkeepsie thirty years ago. If there is ANYTHING troubling you, she will help you heal it. I promise.

Here, I will paraphrase the Vanilla Ice, “if you got a problem, yo, Pema will solve it”. She will help you open your heart in ways that will blow your little mind, baby. And trust me I do not want to Welcome the Unwelcome, which goes to show me that’s what I need to do the most.
