It saddens me to think of how many boys and men walk around with so much disembodiment, and how their s*x can easily become a weapon.
I am putting together a self-led course for men to teach them how to recover from the numbness and objectification that results from p**n and cultural conditioning.
It's my small way to try and shift the cultural sickness that shows up in s*xual assault, r**e, and the objectification of people's bodies.
Besides a better legal process for victims of assault, and maybe arming more young women with serious self-defense, I want my daughter to really feel her intuition and discernment as she gets older and navigates more of this world.
How we react to our children's boundaries will teach them if it's okay to have them.
Making our children believe that everyone in the classroom, or even in our own families, is worth their time is an error.
Discernment and exclusion are necessary to develop instinct and boundaries.
If my daughter is disgusted from someone, I want her to feel it and act on it.
This doesn't mean she's encouraged to be cruel and speak badly about people, but she is encouraged to feel and trust what emerges in her body around people.
Let me know what comes up for you as you read this.
