Got a picture of the moon rising and sun setting yesterday.
There are so many old wives tales about the full moon that you may have heard, but there are actually studies that have been done to prove some of the stories to be true.
There are more babies born, tides are affected, moods as well as sleep.
One sleep study showed this, “We found that around full moon, electroencephalogram (EEG) delta activity during NREM sleep, an indicator of deep sleep, decreased by 30%, time to fall asleep increased by 5 min, and EEG-assessed total sleep duration was reduced by 20 min.” It went on to say that the sleep changes were due to drops in melatonin, which can have to do with there being more light because of the moon. When melatonin drops, seratonin increases.
Have you ever noticed feeling worse around the full moon? Increased seratonin causes parasites, to be more active. Especially if you have been bitten by a tick or struggle with certain illnesses. No one likes to think of them, but unless we’ve been intentional to get rid of them, they’re probably there.
I can promise you that I have tried every natural thing I could, and even sticking to natural, have caused my gut not to be happy.
