Do your research. Do your research. Do your research.
& also don’t settle for Walmart quality or Claire’s piercings guns either!
If you don’t know what you’re doing, stop piercing children.
The person asking on the Internet asking for help was told that the jewelry is heavy and that’s why it’s sitting back like. Looking at this photo, this does not look like “the jewelry is too heavy.”
If jewelry was too heavy, it would be pulling forward. This is sitting angled backward, which points to angle not weight.
This should have been addressed immediately not sent out the door as “fine.”
If this came into my studio, my recommendation would be:
• remove it
• let it heal
• re-pierce once the tissue is ready
Parents, I’m begging you: please do your research before getting your child’s ears pierced.
Children are hard to pierce!!
They should not be pierced by someone who is just starting out or by someone who isn’t specifically trained and comfortable working with children.
It is a completely different ball game.
Their anatomy is smaller. They move differently. Positioning matters more. Patience matters more. Experience matters more.
And kids should not have to go through unnecessary pain or have to remove and re-do a piercing because someone took on something they weren’t ready for.
Please ask questions.
Please look at your piercer’s work.
Please do your research.
Your child deserves that🩷
