Due to the weather forecast, our Summer Splash Water Party has been moved to Tuesday, June 23rd. 🌞🌊

We can't wait to enjoy all the water games, slip-and-slide fun, pool and summer excitement with everyone next Tuesday! Stay tuned for any additional updates.

Our participants are learning so much through SnackAbilities at The Ability Center!

Operating the concession stand helps build money management, customer service, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and pre-vocational skills in a fun, real-world setting.

Every order filled and every customer greeted is another step toward greater independence and confidence. 💜🧡💛

Today we enjoyed a trip to Island Dairy Freeze, where participants had the opportunity to try new foods, practice ordering and money-handling skills, and interact with members in the community.🍦

We were also proud to support the Nobody Fights Alone Color Run while building important vocational and social skills through real-world experiences. Learning, growing, and giving back, all in one great day!🤝💜🧡💛

📢 Weekly Reminder for TAC Participants & Families 📢

🍔 Monday, June 15 – We will be going to Island Dairy Freeze for lunch. If your participant does not have enough money in their account, please send $15 to cover their meal.

🍗Tuesday, June 16 - Is Group Cook of bbq chicken legs and sides. Only drinks and snacks are required!

💦 Thursday, June 18 – It's our Summer Kickoff Water Fun Day! Participants should bring a change of clothes and a towel, and an appropriate swimsuit with clothes over it. Please make sure they are dressed for outdoor water activities and bring any needed sunscreen.

We can't wait for a fun-filled week at TAC! 💜🧡💛

What an incredible day we had at Special Needs Day at the Muhlenberg County Fair! 🎡💜

Our participants enjoyed a day full of fun, laughter, friendship, and wonderful memories. Events like this provide valuable opportunities for community inclusion, social interaction, and simply enjoying all the experiences our community has to offer.

A huge THANK YOU to all of the sponsors, volunteers, organizers, fair staff, and everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes to make this day possible. Your generosity, dedication, and support created a welcoming and unforgettable experience for so many individuals and families.

We are truly grateful for your commitment to making this event a place where everyone can participate, belong, and shine. Thank you for making this year's Special Needs Day such an amazing success for our TAC participants! 💜🧡💛

When you have a super fun DSP, who will do anything to make his participants laugh, it's got to be documented! We had the greatest day at Special Needs Day at the Muhlenberg County Fair. 💜🧡💛

🎡🎠 Tomorrow we’re headed to Special Needs Day at the Muhlenberg County Fair! We are excited for a fun day of community involvement, entertainment, and making memories together.

⏰ Please arrive on time, as we will be leaving before 9:30 a.m. and returning before 2:00 p.m.

🍔 Lunch will be provided (hamburgers, hot dogs, and chips). If your participant cannot eat these items or prefers something different, please send a packed lunch that doesn't need to be heated or refrigerated.

🥤 Participants should bring their own drinks and snacks for the day.

☀️ We will be outdoors most of the day, so please dress appropriately for the weather as it will be very warm, including comfortable shoes, and any other outdoor essentials. We will bring sunscreen.

🫧 There may be a foam party available so bringing at least a beach towel if possible will be helpful.

📣 Reminder! Today we will be attending the Opportunity Center's Talent Show! We will leave The Ability Center at 9:00 a.m. and return before 2:00 p.m.

There will be food trucks available for those who would like to purchase lunch, so please make sure to bring spending money if you'd like to eat from a food truck.

Participants are also welcome to bring a packed lunch; however, it must not require heating or refrigeration.

We're excited for a fun day supporting and celebrating the talents of others in our community! 🎤✨
