We are ready to splash into June at The Ability Center with a month full of fun, friendship, and exciting opportunities!

June will bring group cooks, our Splash Into Summer Water Fun Day, several outings and much more!

This summer, we’re offering structured daily schedules, fun community outings, life skills activities, arts & crafts, pre vocational training and safe, supportive supervision for special needs teens and adults ages 16+ all summer long! 🎨🌞

Unless a participant won't eat baked potatoes, they will not need to bring a lunch.

Today we enjoyed a trip to El Rinconcito for lunch and had a great time learning and growing together in our community!

Outings like these help participants practice important life skills such as ordering their own drinks, interacting with wait staff, sharing with others, pouring salsa, and building confidence in social situations.

Plus, making memories and enjoying time together always makes learning even more fun! And the food was delicious! 🌮💜🧡💛

Tomorrow we’re excited to head out for a fun lunch outing to El Rinconcito! 🌮🎉

We love giving our participants opportunities to experience new places, try different cuisines, and enjoy time together in the community.

Participants do not need to bring a lunch tomorrow. But please remember to send a drink and snack, and ensure participants have at least $15 available in their account for lunch expenses.

Today for Group Cook Day at TAC, we switched things up a bit! Instead of cooking, we enjoyed delicious cold grinder sandwiches while learning a new kitchen skill-how to safely use a manual pull chopper!

Building kitchen confidence and learning practical skills can happen in all kinds of ways, and we had a great time doing it! Plus, they were DELICIOUS! 🥪🔪

And the chips and salsa on the side was pretty delish as well. 💜🧡💛

The Ability Center is having a GARAGE SALE! 🎉 And you would not believe how much amazing stuff we have!

Join us this Friday, May 22 from 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 23 from 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. in the garage at the back of TAC.
