Per request!! Our Junior Herbalist Certification Program can now be purchased with a single transaction. This is a six class program where students will dive deep into the world of herbalism. They will learn and create, teas, salves, infuse oils, glycerides, and poultices. They will learn how to properly identify and categorize more than 20 herbs and more! We are so excited to play a part in educating this next generation on the wonderful goodness that's available right at our fingertips.

The Mountain Trails Junior Herbalist Certification is a six class educational journey designed to introduce students to the fascinating world of herbalism through hands on learning, exploration, and real life application.

Throughout the program, students will learn how herbalists identify plants, understand herbal categories, and recognize the unique roles herbs play in supporting the body. As they progress through the series, they will explore seasonal herbs, create herbal preparations, and gain confidence working with the plants growing around them.

Topics include:
- Understanding herbal categories such as nervines, vulneraries, nutritives, and more
- Learning how the seasons influence the herbs available to us
- Identifying and understanding common herbs found in Appalachia
- Harvesting, drying, and properly storing herbs
- Preparing herbal teas, glycerites, infused oils, salves, and poultices
- Understanding how herbalists choose herbs for different purposes
- Developing observation skills and learning to view nature through the eyes of an herbalist

Students will participate in hands on activities, take home projects, seasonal challenges, and interactive learning experiences designed to make herbal education both memorable and practical.

Upon completing all six classes and the Junior Herbalist Challenge, students will earn their Certified Junior Herbalist Certificate from Mountain Trails Wellness Studio.

This program is designed for curious learners who want to deepen their understanding of God’s creation, discover the value of the plants growing around them, and build a strong foundation in traditional herbal knowledge.

The first class in our Junior Herbalist Program is live! In order to earn the Junior Herbalist Certificate, students need to attend all 6 classes. However, the entire program isn't mandatory. The certification is an added accomplishment for those that do!

** Hope Scholarship will be listed in the provider site as soon as it's approved. You will need to reserve your placement by messaging us how many students and which classes they will be attending. This is so we can remove their seat/s from inventory. Once the listing is live in the portal, we will message you. Hope payments will need to be made within 24hrs afterwards to retain their seat/s.
