Overview

Michael is a graduate of the Oregon School Of Massage has been a full-time massage therapist since 1999. He enjoys working on a variety of people from all walks of life- from those simply seeking relaxation and wellness to those with more specific needs including: Hollywood stunt doubles, Olympic athletes, World Champion fig

ure Skaters, Alberto Salazar's "Team Oregon", The Portland Winterhawks, Dew Tour athletes and the Portland Timbers. Michael specializes in Deep Tissue, Trigger point, Sports massage, Therapeutic stretching, Shiatsu, Thai massage and Massage Cupping. He treats each person as an individual and realizes that not everyone will respond to the same treatment the same way as the next person, and therefore by having a wide range of techniques, is able to treat the client with the appropriate amount of sensitivity. He also encourages clients to aid in their own recovery or therapy through stretching/Yoga, hydrotherapy (ice/heat) and any other tidbits of personal experience that he can offer. Educational Background:

Graduate of Oregon School of Massage 1997. Teaching assistant at Oregon School of Massage (assisted students with and explained massage techniques, location of muscles and skeletal landmarks). Since graduating from OSM in 1997, Michael has competed an additional 400 hundred hours in continuing education and has studied under some of the best massage educators in the field. Personal Interests

Michael enjoys hiking, kayaking, biking and yoga. Michael also moonlights as a professional drummer and is an award winning songwriter. Beaverton, Or 97008

Be rest assured I always wipe down my table, the face cradle and the surface of my cabinets after every massage as well as wash my hands THOROUGHLY!
And, we have hand sanitizer located throughout the office. Don't let the fear of coming down with it prevent you from taking care of your body.

I'm excited to learn the sacred Hawaiian massage practice of Lomi Lomi next month. My usual style is more sports/deep tissue oriented. This is a much more gentle approach and I think some of my clients will really like it. I'll be certified by 3/8.
Come in and give it a try!

With its ancient Polynesian history, lomi lomi massage combines long, fluid strokes with volcanic rocks, plant leaves, and chanting to promote deep healing.
