Free clinics in WV are here to help people who are uninsured and need Healthcare. To find out more information go to wvfreeclinics.org.

Beginning next year, work requirements will be a condition of eligibility for more than 161,000 Medicaid recipients in West Virginia.

WVAFC clinics care for nearly 60% of West Virginia’s uninsured.

The West Virginia Association of Free Clinics represents four community-based free clinics that together serve as the local healthcare safety net for more than 55,000 uninsured West Virginians—many of them working families caught in the gaps of our healthcare system.

While there are other free clinics doing important work across the state, WVAFC clinics serve as the primary safety-net providers in their regions, often offering the most consistent and comprehensive access to care available locally. These clinics don’t just reach communities—they belong to them.
