Rehab Associates had a great time this week participating with Collaborative Health in Liberty University’s Live Well Employee Benefits Health Fair! It was a wonderful opportunity to meet employees, talk about the benefits of physical therapy, and share how Rehab Associates can help people stay active, healthy, and moving well.

We also had a fun visit from one of our former patients who is obviously a big fan of Dr. Jacqui Gooden, site director at our Timberlake clinic and a key player on our Foot & Ankle Team. That patient gave us the catchiest compliment we’ve ever received when he exclaimed, “I hit the Jacqui-pot – she’s a Gooden!” We couldn’t agree more—Jacqui is definitely a GOOD one!

Representing Rehab Associates at the health fair were: Dr. Josh Bailey, President & CEO, Dr. Catherine Martin, partner and physical therapist in our Clifton clinic, and Ginny Smith, physician liaison. Thank you, Collaborative Health and Liberty University, for inviting us to be part of such a great event! We loved meeting everyone and talking about how physical therapy can help us all move better, feel better, and live well.

Dr. Lori Yeaman Celebrates Five Years at Rehab Associates

According to Shellie Suffel, site director in Moneta, Lori is a valued member of the Rehab Associates team: “We are grateful for Lori’s five wonderful years. Lori has a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University. During her tenure at Rehab Associates, Lori has won multiple FOTO awards for outstanding outcomes in the cervical, knee, and shoulder regions.

Congratulations to Dr. Colin Brooker! We are excited to celebrate Colin on completing his Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Lynchburg and becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer! During his training, Colin gained extensive Division 1 sports medicine experience working with Liberty University Football and Track & Field.

As a dual-credentialed professional and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Dr. Brooker incorporates sports performance testing to evaluate movement mechanics, track athletic progress, and guide return-to-play protocols. He is exceptionally well-versed in rehabbing athletes and active individuals back to their sport or leisure activities.

As Colin says, “I love to treat individuals from all walks of life and help them return to their optimal level of function!” When he’s not on the football field or conducting sports performance testing, Colin sees patients in our Clifton clinic and will begin seeing patients at our Healthplex clinic this fall!

Congratulations to the dynamic duo of Dr. Harrison Hunt and Michelle Tinsley, PTA! They received a FOTO award for the shoulder region! When most people think of physical therapy, they picture the treatment sessions. But every great patient experience begins with a friendly face and a welcoming voice. Today, we’re recognizing one of those amazing people, and next week we will highlight another. They welcome patients, answer questions, keep things running smoothly, and help create a positive experience from the very first visit. Their kindness and dedication make a difference every day. Read below to discover why she chose to be part of the physical therapy field.

“I honestly didn’t choose this line of work—it chose me. After the pandemic, I walked away from the medical field frustrated by how fear kept people from seeking the care they needed. I spent three years working as a laundry attendant at a resort, doing hard, physical work that I actually enjoyed because I could keep to myself. But God continued to speak to me.
In January 2026, my daughter told me about an opening within the company and encouraged me to apply. I prayed, “Lord, if this is for me, open the door.” And He did. At first, I was discouraged and afraid of making mistakes, but God began showing me that every call and interaction was an opportunity to simply be kind, warm, and listen.
It costs nothing to be nice, and in a world filled with “what ifs,” I want to be the change I wish to see. My why is God and community—to leave every person better than I found them.”
