We are absolutely ecstatic to welcome TWO new members to the AEKF team!

We were thrilled to introduce Caroline Gold and Rachel Carnahan-Metzger at this year’s Abbey Lights Up COTA Gala. Both are incredible social workers joining us as we begin establishing the programs and services that will shape the future of Abbey House.

This marks an exciting step forward as we work toward bringing Abbey House to life. Caroline and Rachel will play an important role in this process, and we’re so excited to have them as part of this next chapter! 🏡

🦋 At our 8th Annual Abbey Lights Up COTA Gala, we were proud to introduce our 2026–2027 Butterfly Grant Recipient, Jose David “JD” Gonzales!

Deeply loved by his mother, Juryflor, and older brother, Georsse, JD’s journey reflects the courage and resilience at the heart of the Butterfly Grant.

Made possible by our incredible community of supporters, the Butterfly Grant helps bring light and support to families like JD’s during some of their hardest moments. We’re honored to walk alongside the Gonzalez family this year.
