September is bursting with autumn magic — the leaves start turning, the air gets that first crisp hint of fall, and cozy sweater weather is just around the corner! 🍁☕✨ It's also the month of the Sapphire birthstone 💙 and two beautiful zodiac signs, Virgo and Libra, so our September babies bring a little extra sparkle to our community!

Once again, we are overflowing with gratitude for Linda and Kathy Hilts and Vicki Warren, who have rolled up their sleeves to create more beautiful wheelchair bags for our residents! Their continued generosity never ceases to amaze us, and it's clear that every stitch is made with love.

Thanks to their dedication, our residents will enjoy even more comfort and convenience — and a little extra warmth knowing someone cared enough to make it just for them.

Happy National Dog Day to our good old boy Scout, our beloved facility dog. 🐾

Some days a visit from Scout is the brightest part of a residents day - a wagging tail at the door, a head resting gently on a lap, a reason to smile. He doesn't just visit, he connects. He remembers who needs a little extra time, who lights up at the sight of him, who keeps a secret stash of his favorite biscuits and who just needs someone soft and steady to sit beside.

The comfort and joy he brings can't really be measured, but you can see it on every face he greets. Today we're so grateful for this good boy and everything he gives the people he loves.

Thank you Scout, for the difference you make - one visit, one wag, one moment at a time. Thank you for choosing us. 🫶🏻🦴🐾

👑✨ Hometown Royalty! ✨👑

Our residents were treated to an incredible evening of live music from The Poor Boys Band, and the house was PACKED! 🙌🏠 Toes were tapping, smiles were everywhere, and the good vibes just kept rolling! 🎸🥁

To top it all off, we got to mingle with some hometown royalty! 2026 Miss Mancelona — and our very own Meadow Brook Junior Aide — Bella Deisenroth joined the fun, along with Miss Mancelona Princess Ellena Straight-Carper! 💫 So special to have them spend the evening with our residents!

Nights like these are exactly why we love what we do. 💚 Music, laughter, and community all under one roof! 🏡🎉

Our residents spent yesterday exploring the stunning Grass River Natural Area and it did not disappoint! 🍃 From peaceful trails to breathtaking views, there was nature and fun around every corner. 😊

A special shoutout for the newly renovated boardwalks — smooth, scenic, and perfect for taking in all that natural beauty! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂👨‍🦽🌳

Nothing beats fresh air, good company, and a little time outdoors together. 💚
