CDJ Hilltop Homestead We are new to homesteading and would love to share our journey.

Sometimes the co-dependency is a barrier like when the farrier comes and can only trim one at a time. You’d think the length of a side by side would be close enough but you’d be wrong. They both managed to slip and fall today trying to get to the other. But then when it’s time to move them the brotherly bond is a blessing. Lead one and the other follows anywhere you want them to go.

The girls love being let out to forage this time of year. With all the oak, hickory, butternut, and walnut trees on the hill, they eat better wandering than any commercial feed.
