Sun damage, uneven skin tone, and rough texture build up over years. Laser skin resurfacing can address all of them at once.

Dr. Sobel uses targeted laser energy to remove damaged outer layers of skin and stimulate new collagen growth underneath. Skin color, age, and elasticity are all evaluated during consultation so the treatment matches what your skin actually needs.

Most patients are back to their daily routine within a week. Redness and swelling settle over the following days, and the final result keeps improving for months as new skin continues to develop.

Dr. Sobel has used skin resurfacing lasers since they first became available and stays current on the latest developments. During your consultation, he'll walk you through the best option for your skin type and goals.

Almost every patient question that comes into Anderson Sobel Cosmetic Surgery goes through Dr. Sobel personally.

Whether it arrives by email or through a team member, Dr. Sobel reviews it before a response goes out. He does this for a few reasons:

✨ He can spot early signs that a patient may need to come in sooner than their next appointment
✨ He stays aware of what patients are curious about, concerned about, and interested in
✨ It helps him identify trends and pressure points that his team may be experiencing

When your surgeon sees every question, nothing slips through the cracks. And it keeps Dr. Sobel connected to the full picture of every patient's experience.

What question have you been holding onto? Drop it in the comments.

When patients feel that level of care, it shows in the trust they place in us.

Having an office-based surgery center changes the way Dr. Sobel practices.

Instead of splitting time between a hospital and an office with a commute in between, Dr. Sobel stays connected to both surgical patients and front office patients throughout the entire day. A quick phone call or a few steps, and he can be anywhere he's needed.

Patients feel the difference. Faster follow-up, more personal answers, and a team that never feels like reaching out to Dr. Sobel is an imposition.

It also means Dr. Sobel catches early warning signs sooner and can adjust care plans before small concerns become bigger ones.

Summer plans on the calendar? Your treatments need a head start⭐

Chemical peels work best when scheduled 4 to 6 weeks before your event. Your skin needs time to shed, regenerate, and reveal the fresh layer underneath. Plan ahead and avoid direct sun exposure during healing.

Laser skin resurfacing targets sun damage, uneven tone, and texture at a deeper level. Most patients are back to their routine within a week, but optimal results develop over several months. Earlier is better.

Botox and fillers are the fastest turnaround. Schedule 2 to 3 weeks before photos, weddings, or reunions. Most patients look their best about a week after treatment.

Dr. Sobel and our team can map out a treatment timeline built around your specific event and goals.

Save this for when you're ready to start planning.

This hallway is one of Dr. Sobel's favorite spots in the practice.

It connects the surgery center on one side and the front office on the other. Dr. Sobel's own office sits right in the middle, which means he's only a few steps from surgical patients and a few steps from the front desk team at any given moment.

Being that close matters. Faster answers, quicker check-ins, and a team that can reach Dr. Sobel without picking up the phone.

Refreshed eyes change your whole face.

Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) removes excess skin and fat that makes the upper or lower lids look heavy, puffy, or tired. Dr. Sobel places incisions in the natural crease of the upper lid or inside the lower lid so they stay hidden as you heal.

Most patients describe the recovery as easier than expected. Dissolving sutures, minimal discomfort, and a follow-up within a day or two to make sure everything looks great.

💡 Blepharoplasty can be performed alone or paired with a brow lift or facelift when the eyes aren't the only area showing age. Dr. Sobel evaluates each patient individually and only recommends what will actually make a visible difference.

Thinking about looking more rested this summer? We'd love to talk through your options.

Use AI to organize your recovery. Do not use it to diagnose yourself.

Dr. Sobel encourages patients to use AI tools to track their progress, compile questions, and organize concerns before follow-up visits. Walking into an appointment with a clear list makes the whole visit more productive and helps Dr. Sobel address everything on your mind.

Where it gets risky: asking AI whether your recovery is normal or what you should do about a symptom. AI doesn't know your body, your procedure, or your healing timeline. Your surgeon does.

Write down every question. Use AI to organize them. Then bring them to the person most invested in your care.

Tag someone planning a procedure this summer. This one's worth a screenshot.

That raised, firm bump on your scar might not be a keloid.

Most people call any thick scar a keloid, but keloids and hypertrophic scars look similar and behave very differently. Keloids keep growing beyond the original wound and rarely fade on their own. Hypertrophic scars stay within the wound boundary and often improve over time.

Knowing which one you have changes the treatment plan completely.

✨ Keloids can show up months or even years after an injury
✨ Genetics, skin type, and wound location all play a role
✨ Sun exposure can darken scars and make them more visible
✨ Treating early gives you better options than waiting

Protecting healing skin from the sun matters year round, and especially heading into summer.

Save this post for the next time you have a scar question.

Ever notice how some people go completely stiff the second a camera turns on? Dr. Sobel calls that "Botox body." It's that frozen, awkward posture we all default to on camera when we have no idea what to do with our hands.

Botox on the face, when done well, is completely invisible. The person across from you can still read every emotion. Happy, sad, frustrated, angry. You just have a few less lines.

Are you a natural on camera or do you get Botox body? Tell us in the comments.
