Happy Global Running Day, y’all! While running is a sport many of us do solo, it’s best done with club behind you!!! From my 800m days with the Snoqualmie Valley Rad Runners (iykyk) in the 90’s to my home since 2025 in the 💜 We’ve come a long way, baby!

I’ve run thru ED, grief and now menopause. My best ever days have been on the track or the trail. I’ve had the incredible pleasure of working with runners at all levels. I’m passionate about this sport because I not only love running, I love runners.

Back in January I was asked to crew for Team Wild Things Run as they competed in LALV 26. Now that we are on the other side of this incredible experience, I’m still struggling to put this weekend into words…

To the runners: 💜 Your talent and grit are inspiring! Watching you run and having you trust me with your bodies is an honor. I’m so proud of you, my babies!!!

To my crewmates: .flowstate and the illusive Lester 💜 I didn’t do my fair share of the driving, one million thanks to you all for picking up the slack so I could keep my hands on bodies (and make sandwiches.) We are family forever.

💜 Your eye is unmatched. Thank you for capturing all these moments.

Since my surgery in 2021, I have struggled to find my place in this sport I love so much now that my fastest miles are behind me. Somewhere out in that desert it all became very clear. My experience and love of runners is where I belong. The joy I felt caring for you all was so rewarding. I’ll do it again as many times as you ask.

I’m looking forward to returning to my home at (I repped us hard all race long!) tomorrow with this newfound clarity and a very full heart.

We are all we have and we take care of each other. As the proud wife of an immigrant, as a helper who served and was lovingly embraced by the local Somali community for a decade, I must do my part in the general strike on Friday.

I will be donating all of my earnings for Friday, January 30th to the NW Immigrant Rights Project.

We can all do something. If you can, stay home from work. Donate time, money or your gifts to local aid organizations doing the vital work of protecting our neighbors and loved ones. Spread and share resources. Speak up for those who have less safety than you.

As many of you have noticed, I quietly changed my name a few weeks ago. If you have been in studio over the last year, I have shared the changes in my practice for 2026. For everyone else, here’s the formal announcement…

I am retiring the bodywork portion of my practice after 22 amazing years. This decision is bittersweet but ultimately the right path forward for me. I will be decreasing my availability by 25 percent starting in March and will continue to scale back from there. I look forward to working with my incredible family of clients to get them all placed with talented new bodyworkers.

This is definitely not the end of the journey for me tho. This reduction allows me space to grow the somatic breathwork portion of my practice and I am so humbled and energized by the feedback clients have had to this work.

There are booking links in my bio to both my free monthly breathwork group and to book individual in person or virtual sessions. To those of you who have referred friends and family to this new offering, your confidence is the greatest compliment you can give me. Thank you.

I didn’t take many pictures but I will never forget this week.

To Chelly, Chris and the rest of the family, thank you for opening your home to us. What a gorgeous place you have created! I cannot wait to return.

you are a star. Over the last 5ish years I have watched you build your dream life. I’m so happy for you and proud of how you show up. You are right where you are supposed to be. Thank you for being our fearless leader. The love you have for the practice and the way you teach others is a gift.

To all my Wild Thing sisters… We can never explain to others all that this week was and that is magic. I didn’t expect to laugh, cry, stretch and bend with you all the way we did. You all have a piece of my heart and I can’t wait for the reunion. I’m better having known you all.

I’m so looking forward to getting back to work tomorrow! A month of rest, sunshine and quality time with the boys has me feeling refreshed.

I was so incredibly lucky to visit The Nest Beachside Spa not once but twice while I was in Bali. Friends, Balinese massage is top notch! Spectacular.

It is such a privilege to get to indulge in local forms of bodywork when I travel. The most important influences on my work have come from the diverse modalities I have studied and received, as well as the cultural and ethnic wellness practice of the immigrant populations I have had the pleasure of serving.

I encourage you all to try a therapy that is new to you. The PNW is full of providers of different modalities from all over the world. You might just find your ideal bodywork is one you haven’t experienced yet.

Friends! Next week the Lee’s will head out for our biennial Lunar New Year holiday!!! We are very excited to see family in Singapore and Australia as well as enjoy a quiet week in Bali just the three of us.

If you have been in studio lately you have already heard my plea… Don’t go a month with bodywork!!! There are so many incredible local practitioners. Here are some options.

As most of you know, I am a firm believer on receiving as many types of bodywork from different practitioners as you can. We all do and bring something different to the work. Explore a new set of hands in February!

Happy 2025, everyone! I enjoyed 2 weeks of rest and holiday fun and am ready to get back to work. I have a couple of announcements as we start the new year.

1. I will not be taking on any new clients in 2025. In order to continue to give the quality of work that is important to me, I can only do so many sessions a week. I have hit that limit!

2. I will be temporarily closing my waitlist. I currently have 20 amazing folks on my waitlist for cancellations. I rarely have 10 cancellations in a year! If you are a bodyworker and have space for new clients, drop your details below so I can add you to my referral list. 🙏🏻

3. I’m gonna be posting less. I don’t love being on the socials, so I’m gonna honor that this year. I will share mutual aid, cool events and pretty pictures but that’s probably about it. I will gather my strength to post on main for important stuff! That said, text and email are always the fastest/most reliable way to communicate about your appointment.

4. Nothing will change in 2025 around pricing. I adjust my prices for inflation every other year, so that will come in 2026.

5. My schedule remains the same. Monday/Tuesday/Thursday with appts at 9am/12pm.

It is the honor of a lifetime to care for you all. I wish us all peace, prosperity and health this year.

If you have ever been in my studio you have heard me rave about Tanya and Megan at Katrin Skincare. I am obsessed with them and think that everyone should be too!

Michelle at Diva Massage is one of the most talented set of hands in the game. She has created a women’s only space for bodywork that is well worth the trip!

Innovative Health is an inclusive gym and wellness space in the Mount Baker neighborhood. They have a massive gym, cryotherapy, red light therapy, infrared sauna, chiropractic and massage therapy. Give the gift of movement!
