Healthy communities start right in our own neighborhoods. 💚

Before heading down to Sunday’s Steelers tailgate, members of the Healthy Americans Coalition spent the morning in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood cleaning up a lot that had accumulated a significant amount of trash and debris.

With a school just a block away, we were especially glad to spend some time getting the area cleaned up and making it a little safer for the families and children who live nearby.

Our mission is about more than individual health- it’s about strengthening the communities around us. Sometimes that simply means showing up, rolling up your sleeves, and leaving a place better than you found it.

Healthy Americans Coalition SWPA will be participating in a neighborhood door-knocking event Saturday August 15, in conjunction with the upcoming special election. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Cranberry Township. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to spend a few hours walking the community.

Saturday’s door knock in Bellevue was a great success- and we even got to celebrate our favorite Senior Field Representative, Noah, on his birthday! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who spent their Saturday morning knocking doors and engaging with the community for Joe Aguglia.

A special thank you to the new RCAC Chairman for making grassroots engagement a priority and joining us in the field.
