Happy birth stories 🤗

Last week we were celebrating a patient able to give the natural birth she wanted. She originally came to see me to help turn breech baby. Baby successfully flipped! So then we started working on helping her body prepare for labor. Her goal was to have an unmedicated birth. Her due date came and went, and was eventually scheduled for an injection just before 42 weeks. She cam to see me the day before her scheduled induction, and ended up having the unmedicated birth she had dreamed of.

This week, I got a text from a patient who successfully had a VBAC. Her first birth ended in a C-section because she was told baby was “too big”. She was determined to avoid another C-section at all costs, but was worried about baby being “too big” again. After we got the green light from her medical team, we increased her acupuncture labor prep. Her body went into labor naturally just before 39 weeks, and was able to have the VBAC she had dreamt about.

I love my job every day. But I feel extra lucky to do what I do when I get to witness such empowering birth stories like these.

I am beyond excited to be offering my first fertility coaching program: Foundations of Fertility with the Five Elements ✨

This course has been a long time in the making. Since moving across the country, I wanted to find a way I can continue to support people, without the in person acupuncture.

And so, my online fertility coaching offering emerged.
I have been loving the space to deep dive- which online sessions have allowed, and in person acupuncture has not.

Because when you are on a fertility journey, you need someone on your team who has the education and training to guide you, and who has the time and space to welcome and process all the emotions that come with it.

Happy New Year✨
2026 is the year of the fire horse 🔥🐎
I have absolutely been loving five element oracle deck. Her description of the fire horse lays out a beautiful message of tapping into our inner fire to let our passions and vitality lead us.
“Your being noticed for your positivity and passion for what you do. Stay focused on what brings you happiness and let the inner joy that has inspired so many others be the fuel to living your purpose. We made it to VT, and I want to share a special offer!

In case you haven’t heard by now, today is the last day Rooting Wellness is open.

It has been the full spectrum of grief to excitement over here, but if you missed the email, my husband and I are moving to Vermont to be closer to family.

In Chinese astrology, this is the year of the wood snake, which means big transitions! Letting go of what we are growing out of to make space for what we are expanding into. I have seen firsthand in my practice how much this year is really challenging people to make the big scary changes, which I am by no means immune to.

Even though Instagram is not my main mode of communication, I will be posting updates and new potential online offerings as ways I can keep in touch with you all (Shoot me a DM if this is something your interested in!)

Happy Lunar New Year 🌊🪵🐍

In Chinese astrology, 2025 is the year of the yin wood snake. This year, the yin energy helps to balance the yang energy of the wood element and snake animal.

The yin energy brings a sense of receptivity, intuition, and introspection, while the yang wood element represents growth, vitality, and expansion.

The yang animal, the snake, symbolizes transformation, renewal, and wisdom. Just like the snake sheds its skin to reveal a new self, this year encourages us to look inward to find the change and growth we want to see in ourselves.

The sky sent me a beautiful reminder this morning 🌈
The fall season can be a physically and emotionally dark time. In tradition Chinese medicine, the fall is a season for processing grief. The trees glow brightly before the leaves die and fall off. Without this season, the trees would not grow and thrive the way they are meant to. Sometimes, we need the darkness to allow us to go inward. We need the rest to digest, to keep up with our evolution, just like the trees 🍂

Join .rae and I this Friday at for an evening of yoga, acupuncture, and best shavasana of your life 😏 we will be working with the lung and large intestine meridians, which are the main TCM organ systems during the the time of the fall.
