Progress Report:
Concerning CMP vs CMT status. The state would like me to voluntarily achieve 43 hours of continuing education in two specific fields. Considering my trauma with the industry and the $3000, plus my time price tag, I have decided to continue with the voluntary CMP title. The title will remain CMT on this page until Facebook allows for a change.
Location: Ben Lomond Courtyard Plaza has highlighted itself in being the friendliest, stress free location imaginable. Low anxiety entry/exit on Hwy 9, relatively flat parking, safe, and with a restroom available. We share a wall with likely the most vibrant salon in the Valley. We are in process in negotiating with the property owner in moving, just across the courtyard. The location will be much quieter and larger. Possibility in having a Thai Massage (clothed, assisted stretching and compressions) floor set up available at all times.
As goes with the territory of most "light workers" we have our dark shadows. As of July 21st there has been a years abstinence from alcohol. Unlocking unprecedented levels of bodywork. Embracing this level of clarity has been a game-changer for the practice.
Dark Shadows: This promotional photo was my first professional shoot for the business, 2015? This was taken in Shelter Cove on a landing we refer to as "wedding Point." The model on my table, his memorial was there. This relationship almost stripped me down to life/death and pushed me over the edge into the bodywork practice that is now. Dark/Light, balance, this photo is almost a yin-yang.
We've joined a gym and are feeling ravenously unstoppable. Focusing on glutes and quads to get hip strength back, after *lying in bed the majority of the last year. If we want the arms to work correctly, we have to have a strong back, can't have anything, without a good hip foundation.
* With sobriety comes massive weight loss. Losing 40 lbs just laying around. Being considerate with the longevity of sobriety, we wanted to take this transformation, in baby steps.
October will be year TWO at the Ben Lomond Location and we couldn't be more overjoyed. Well, we wouldn't mind having bestowed a bath house bodywork center, but that's another day.
