Most of us have a tight side! It often goes unnoticed and doesn’t seem to pose an issue… until it does! The kneeling open book, when performed correctly, effectively isolates spinal rotation, while also getting a great stretch through the shoulder.

If you didn’t know, all notes from your appointments are published for your access. This will include surveys, exercises, progress, assessments, and details from your appointments. Jane also allows you to easily access receipts, documents, and manage preferences.

Sacroiliac pain can be intermittent or persistent and can be a sign of multiple underlying issues. While not all SI pain is the same, this is how I’ve managed mine in the past, and this week with a flare.

REMEMBER
▫️Don’t avoid using the painful side. This will propel your weakness on that side and increase its sensitivity to loading.
▫️Stretching is not always the answer. Sometimes it plays an important role, while other times it can make things worse.
▫️Load your weak/problem side— in daily activities and with extra weight.

Persistent or recurrent pain should always be assessed, but here are some tips to try in the meantime!

If you feel spinning throughout your day— when you roll in bed, look up, or bend over; this might explain it.

BPPV is a common cause of vertigo, BUT is not the only cause. It comes from small crystals in the inner ear getting out of place and sending the wrong signals with head movement.
It can be intense and debilitating or subtle and brief.

With the right assessment and a few specific maneuvers, it’s often very treatable, but with improper or lack of treatment, it can progress.

If this sounds familiar, it’s worth getting checked by a PT! Don’t hesitate to start your journey to assessment of your vertigo and improving stability today.
