Happy to be part of Stella’s care team as she recovers!

Sweet Stella has really been through the wringer these past few weeks! 💔

We noticed she wasn’t shedding out like she normally does, so we had her tested—and unfortunately, she was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease. She’ll now be on daily medication for the rest of her life, but we’re hopeful this will help her feel more like herself again. 💊💕

On top of that, she suffered an acute injury to her right stifle, which we’ve been treating with pain meds and support from our vet and incredible equine bodyworker ! And just when we thought she might be turning a corner, she developed a painful abscess in her left hind hoof that made her absolutely miserable. 😔🐴

Our vet came out again, located the abscess, and we’ve been soaking her hoof daily with Epsom salts. She’s already feeling much better and is starting to eat more—fingers crossed she’ll start gaining back the weight she lost during all of this.

We love you, Stella. And we will do whatever it takes to have you feeling better and running around your paddock and bossing Tucker around again soon💖
