💭 Your ability to create safety, authentically show up, not take things personally, understand the mind and body are connected, and know that you are not in charge of someone’s healing are some of the BEST and most EFFECTIVE interventions.
👉Co-regulation
👉Holding Space
👉Somatic Attention
👉Authenticity
👉Remembering it’s not about you.
These things cannot be ignored as highly effective interventions. They are not “manualized” models for healing. They are attending to the person in front of you and acknowledging your relationship with them first.
Our practices full of paperwork, diagnoses, boxes, assessments, manuals are governed and pushed at us by managed care systems and systems of power, abuse and harm to many folks we try to serve. We must return to relationship, acknowledge the importance of relationship and humanness in healing.
❤️Regulated nervous systems settling into safety is healing. ❤️
