When I moved to sunny Bend, Oregon four years ago to start my wonderful little family, I had one intention in mind other than being the best father and husband I could be. That intention was to create a shop I could be proud of and put out work the fine folks of central Oregon would be excited about. In collaboration with the illustrious Cecelia Wingate and seemingly endless help from my newly acquired extended family, I believe we accomplished that.

Cut to a few weeks ago, seemingly out of the blue, a very interesting opportunity for a larger impact on tattooing in my new hometown came about. A local shop I greatly admire, Dreamstate tattoo, was starting a rebirth of sorts and I decided I wanted in on the exciting new collective. After some rather easy deliberation and even easier negotiations with the wildly talented Michaelatattoo, we agreed to merge our shops into something bigger, better, and more funner. Heirloom Tattoo, is intent on providing the same aesthetic, client care, and attention to detail I insisted on with Sigil, but with the exciting addition of the stellar crew Michaela has cultivated during her time with dreamstate, and a big bright new location just off of lovely downtown Bend. Cece saw the vision and agreed wholeheartedly and that was that. I’m so excited to start his new endeavor with such a killer lineup of artists(.tattoos ) and I think you will be too once you see what we have in store for our local tattoo community.

Nothing will change in the booking process(fill out your tattoo submission at sigiltattoobend.com to grab a spot). We will be in the new location June 1st.

I’ll truly miss Sigil Tattoo(I really love that name, you can’t have it even the it doesn’t exist anymore), and I am beyond grateful for all support from all the client collaborators that have kept us cranking out the jams. Things were going quite well there, which only shows how much potential we see in this new creation. Can’t wait for y’all to see it!
