I’ve been meaning to make this post for a long time…. I am a certified animal chiropractor….this means I went to college and have a degree specifically in animal chiropractic. This is in addition to being a human chiropractor. Bentleyville Chiropractic Center is my main job and I do horses and livestock around my office hours. For this reason, traveling long distances to work on horses is not always the easiest thing for me to accommodate. When I choose to go on a road trip to work at a barn it has to make good business sense for me as there is only so many hours in the week and I can’t physically work on horses every day of the week because of the physical demand that it puts on my body. Driving an hour to work on one or two horses is not always a good business decision even though I want to help every horse that I’m asked to. I get calls for people wanting me to travel two or three hours to work on one or two horses… I would need at least 10 horses to make the trip beneficial and make good business sense. I always give people an option to haul their horse to me as there are several local farms near where I live that would accommodate you to haul in. I’ve been very lackadaisical on travel fees, but with the price of gas rising I almost have no choice but to add a fuel charge for farms that are over a certain distance from my home or office, which is in Bentleyville, Pa. I appreciate everybody’s enthusiasm about my abilities and my passion for chiropractic and I would gladly love to accommodate your horses, but again, it has to make good business sense for both of us. so if you’re reading this and you’re interested in having me work on your horse, google the distance from your farm to Bentleyville, Pa and and if it’s over 30 miles, please be accepting of the fact that I need to charge for travel and need more than one or two horses to make it a beneficial visit.
