Confused about insurance coverage for lactation visits? I get it. And I'm here to help.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) covers many lactation visits without cost sharing—but not all. Some plans treat baby-related visits or medically complex care as non-preventive, which may result in cost sharing or copays. Some exclude lactation services resulting in higher cost sharing. There is a lot of variations among different plans.

I've made it easier to have your coverage checked prior to scheduling an appointment with a short form. Some insurances can be booked without submitting the form but I'm happy to check any of them in advance for my clients.

If your insurance does not cover lactation services or I am out-of-network, self-pay is an option.
