Axel has been a familiar face around Inclusionary from the very beginning. He and Mr. Noah have worked together in OT since we opened our doors, making him a true part of the Inclusionary family! 💙

Speech Therapy Graduate: Nathan!

We are so excited to celebrate Nathan as he graduates from speech therapy!

Nathan worked with Mrs. Hannah for just 2 months on his speech sounds, and what incredible progress he made in such a short time! 💙 He was a hard worker from the very beginning, quickly developing awareness of his speech sound errors and beginning to make self-corrections early on.

That growing awareness, combined with his hard work and determination, led to some amazing success! 👏🏼

We are so proud of you, Nathan! Congratulations on this accomplishment, and keep using those great speech skills! 💙

We love seeing our friends continue working on their communication goals at home alongside their families. In this sweet moment, Phillip isn't just finding words on his AAC device, he's sharing an experience with his mom, waiting for her to join in, and building connection through communication.

Communication isn't just about requesting; it's about interacting, connecting, and sharing moments with the people we love. We are so proud of Phillip and grateful for parents who make communication a part of everyday life! 💙

Today we're celebrating the incredible leader of our Occupational Therapy Department and one of the most important pieces of the Inclusionary Therapy family. 💙

Mrs. Allison's passion for helping others shines through in everything she does. She provides exceptional care to every child and family she serves. She leads with dedication and compassion, and continually goes above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of those around her.

Not only is she an outstanding therapist and leader, but she's also a wonderful coworker, supportive teammate, and an even better friend. We are so thankful for all that she brings to our clinic each and every day.

Today we’re celebrating Birdie’s graduation! 💙

Birdie started seeing Mrs. Hannah for feeding therapy when she was just 1 year old. At the time, she relied mostly on milk, but now she loves to eat just about anything!!!

Mrs. Hannah also had the joy of working with Birdie in speech therapy. Her communication has grown so much, and she can now confidently tell us what she wants!

We are so proud of all you’ve accomplished, Birdie. Congratulations on your graduation—we can’t wait to see all you’ll continue to achieve!

💙 SENSORY HAIRCUT EVENT 💙

We are so excited to be hosting our first-ever Sensory Haircut Event at Inclusionary Therapy!

Join us on July 31st from 2:00–7:00 PM for a supportive and sensory-friendly haircut experience designed to help children feel more comfortable and confident during their haircut.

Each appointment will be 30 minutes, giving your child time to get comfortable and allowing our team to follow their individual needs and pace.

💙 A few tips to help prepare for haircut day:

Have a favorite show ready.
Pick out a favorite show ahead of time and have it ready to play before the haircut begins.

Use the word "trim."
Talk about getting a "trim" rather than a "cut" if that language feels more comfortable for your child.

Bring a favorite special activity.
Bring a favorite toy, iPad, or activity that your child doesn't get to use all the time. Having something special to enjoy during the haircut can be a great motivator and distraction.

Plan a special reward for afterward.
Think about something your child will be excited about after their haircut, such as going to the park, getting ice cream, or having a favorite treat. We will have suckers available, but sometimes our kiddos need a little extra motivation.

Know the haircut style ahead of time.
If possible, have the haircut style planned before your appointment. This helps us get started quickly and avoids having to make decisions while your child is sitting and becoming antsy.

Every child is different, and what works for one child may not work for another. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where your child can feel safe, comfortable, and successful.
