Due to our A/C being out and the current heat, we made the difficult decision to close the clinic early today for the safety and comfort of our patients and staff.

Football season officially kicks off tonight, and while everyone else is getting ready for kickoff, Dr. Hilvert is ready to take care of your pets! 😂🐾

👩‍⚕️ Dr. Hilvert will be in the clinic TONIGHT & TOMORROW!

And if you’ve been around here for a while, you know she’s the doctor who will see just about anything. Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Birds, Reptiles, Ferrets and many other domestic exotic pets!

Labor Day may mean a day off for many, but our doors are OPEN! 🇺🇸🐾 And we can’t think of a better way to spend the holiday than introducing you to this sweet little kitten who came through our doors on Saturday. 🥹🐱

This little one was absolutely precious and had our team falling in love. ❤️ We’re so glad we could be here to help when this tiny patient needed us!

💧 Make sure they have plenty of fresh water.
🚗 If you’re traveling, make sure they’re safely secured.
🐾 And keep an eye on them during all those backyard adventures!

☀️🐾 Wednesday PSA: IT’S HOT. Like… REALLY Hot.

A few reminders for your four-legged family today:

💧 Fresh water. Always.
🌳 Stick to shade and keep outdoor time short.
🐾 Check that pavement before walks—if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws.
🚗 NEVER leave your pet in a parked car. Not even “just for a minute.”
🌡️ Save the long walks and outdoor adventures for cooler parts of the day.

And keep an eye out for excessive panting, weakness, vomiting, confusion, difficulty breathing, or collapse. Heat-related illness can become an emergency very quickly.

You know that weird thing your pet is doing and you’re thinking…“Okay… who the heck do I even call for this?” There’s a pretty good chance Dr. Hilvert can help! 😉

Dr. Hilvert will be in the clinic TONIGHT from 5 PM–11 PM, and she’s our go to gal for seeing a little bit of everything.

Backpacks are coming home, lunch boxes are getting emptied, and the first week of school is officially in the books! 🙌

But while the kids are getting back into their school routine, our pets are adjusting too. 🐶🐱

If your pets were used to having everyone home all summer, they may be feeling the change now that the house gets a little quieter during the day.

A few things that can help:
🐾 Keep their daily routine as consistent as possible
🧸 Give them a favorite toy or enrichment activity while you’re away
❤️ Make time for some extra attention when everyone gets home
🚶 Keep their walks and playtime part of the routine
👀 Watch for changes in behavior, appetite, or bathroom habits

🐾 Patient Spotlight: Puppy Edition! 🐾

Someone this adorable came through our doors today and we just had to share! 🥹💕

This little sweetheart stopped by Northwest Arkansas Animal Urgent Care for some care and, of course, managed to steal a few hearts along the way. 🐶❤️

Puppies may be tiny, but they can get themselves into all kinds of trouble! From unexpected tummy issues to injuries, allergic reactions, or just something that has you thinking, “Is this normal?” sometimes they need a little extra attention.

We’re here when your newest family member needs care that can’t wait. 🩺🐾
