This season took an unexpected turn, which is requiring me to pivot and take a temporary pause to focus on healing, recovery and restoration. It’s especially hard in the middle of building my business, as being a reliable and trusted massage therapist is something I deeply value. However, I know that even this pause has great purpose.

Please feel free to reach out (DM, email, text) so I can put you on my wait list to notify you when I will be opening my books back up (anticipating early June).

Thank you for your grace, patience, and continued support. I look forward to being back soon 🤍 -Nicki

MENU SPOTLIGHT🌿 “Flow & Glow”
Manual Lymphatic Drainage + face massage!

My “Flow and Glow” session uses gentle manual lymphatic drainage techniques to support the body’s natural detox pathways & encourage lymph flow.
As a massage therapist, I see how much tension, congestion, and fluid stagnation the face and jaw can hold. This area of the body is often over looked and why I add face massage specifically to this session.
This work can support immune health, sinus drainage, reduce inflammation in the head and overall nervous system regulation. Bonus: Excellent for post surgery to support flushing anesthesia out of the body.

I integrate facial cupping to gently release fascial restrictions, stimulate circulation, and encourage lymph movement through the tissues. Many clients feel less pressure in the jaw, temples, and sinuses, along with a deep sense of relaxation.

💫 I finish your session with a lymphatic system support facial oil, specifically chosen to enhance glide, tissue hydration, and lymph flow during cupping and manual work.

✨ Support your lymphatic system. Release stored tension. Restore natural flow.

Desk work shouldn’t mean living with tight necks, rounded shoulders, headaches, and constant tension 💻😣 — but for many, it does. Hours at a screen can create chronic holding patterns in the body, limit mobility, and keep your nervous system stuck in “on” mode.

At Formed Bodywork, I specialize in helping desk workers reset through Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique (SMRT). This gentle, non-force approach works with your nervous system to release deeply held tension, improve alignment, and restore ease of movement — without aggressive pressure or pain. SMRT is especially effective for the neck, shoulders, jaw, hips, and low back, making it ideal for those affected by long days at a desk.

Clients often leave feeling lighter, more open, and better connected to their bodies. ✨ Your body was designed for balance and movement — not survival mode.

Tension headaches don’t always start in the head. Often, the source is closer to the front of the neck. Tight anterior neck muscles can pull on surrounding structures, restrict blood flow, and keep the nervous system in a guarded state — especially with desk work, stress, and forward-head posture.

At Formed Bodywork, I use Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique (SMRT) to gently address these muscles without force or aggressive pressure. By positioning the body to allow the nervous system to soften and release, SMRT helps reduce excessive tone in the anterior neck, improve mobility, and decrease the strain that contributes to tension headaches. Clients often notice reduced headache frequency, easier breathing, and a greater sense of calm and clarity after sessions. This work is subtle, precise, and deeply effective — supporting the body’s natural ability to reset rather than override it.

Adding in a touch of Manual Lymphatic Drain (MLD) to clear out the head also bumps up peace of mind for many of my clients!

Did you know that manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is an extremely beneficial, gentle & supportive modality for those with tattoos—both new and healed? Tattooing creates controlled trauma to the skin, which can overwhelm the lymphatic system and lead to swelling, tenderness, and slower healing. MLD uses light, rhythmic techniques to encourage lymph flow, helping the body clear excess fluid, cellular waste, and inflammation more efficiently.

For newer tattoos, MLD can help reduce swelling, support immune response, and promote healthier skin repair when done at the appropriate stage of healing. For older tattoos, improved lymph flow supports skin vitality, circulation, and overall tissue health, helping your art age well.

Beyond the physical benefits, lymphatic work supports the nervous system, inviting deep relaxation—something your body needs when it’s healing. Caring for your tattoos isn’t just about the surface; it’s about supporting your whole system from the inside out.

Post-surgery recovery is more than rest—it’s about supporting your body’s natural healing and elimination systems 🤍 Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is wonderful to help encourage the movement of lymph fluid, which can reduce swelling, ease inflammation, and support your immune system during recovery.

Anesthesia can temporarily slow the lymphatic system, contributing to swelling, heaviness, brain fog, and overall fatigue. Gentle lymphatic massage helps stimulate lymph flow, supporting the body’s natural detoxification pathways as it clears residual anesthesia and metabolic waste. Several clients of mine have noted a mental clarity during and immediately following sessions.

Post-surgical MLD can also help minimize fluid buildup, support scar healing, and improve circulation without stressing sensitive tissues. Because the pressure is light and intentional, it works with your body, not against it—creating an environment where healing can happen more efficiently.

Beyond the physical benefits, MLD offers nervous system support. Feeling restful in your body matters when you’re healing. This work creates space for rest, regulation, and restoration.

Healing is not meant to be rushed. It’s meant to be supported—gently, intentionally, and with care.

What if your lymphatic system didn’t need more pressure—but deeper cooperation between your muscles, nervous system, and lymph flow? This is where SMRT combined with Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) changes everything.

Here are 5 reasons why SMRT (Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique) is profoundly beneficial to the lymphatic system—and why receiving lymphatic massage with a trained SMRT therapist goes far beyond standard manual lymphatic drainage alone.

1-SMRT addresses neuromuscular holding patterns that restrict lymph flow. When muscles are guarded or chronically contracted, lymph vessels become compressed. SMRT helps the body release these patterns organically, allowing lymph to move more freely.

2-SMRT works with the central nervous system, not against it. By inviting safety and regulation, the body exits fight-or-flight, a state where lymphatic movement slows. A regulated nervous system equals more efficient drainage.

3-SMRT improves fascial hydration and glide. The lymphatic system relies on healthy fascia to transport fluid. Gentle, intentional SMRT techniques soften restrictions that manual drainage alone may miss.

4-SMRT supports deeper structural balance. Rather than only moving surface fluid, it addresses the muscular imbalances that continually recreate congestion.

5-When lymphatic massage is paired with SMRT, the work becomes longer-lasting and self-sustaining. The body learns how to maintain flow on its own.

When you work with me, you’re receiving lymphatic care that honors muscle, fascia, and nervous system as one intelligent whole.

I love this little space that God gave me and all that He does within its walls. Intentional bodywork is the aim here. I am committed to each person that enters these doors and meeting them on their journey to live, move and simply “be” better.

True healing can occur when we slow down enough to make room for people to be heard, by creating an unhurried environment and choosing patience and process over quick fixes.

Welcome to my space 🫶🏼
