Movement can tell you a lot about how your body is doing. 💙

Getting up from a chair, walking across uneven ground, climbing stairs or staying active without unusual fatigue can all be good indicators of your strength, balance and confidence.

Swipe through our Movement Confidence Checklist and take note of the areas that feel harder than they used to.

If several boxes are going unchecked, a physical therapist can help you build a personalized plan to move more comfortably, safely and confidently.

Please help us welcome Katelyn Fitzpatrick, PT, DPT, to the team! 💙
For Katelyn, becoming a physical therapist is personal. After tearing her ACL during her senior year of high school, physical therapy helped her regain more than strength and function—it helped her feel like herself again and rebuild her confidence.

That experience still shapes the way she approaches patient care today. With a passion for outpatient orthopedics and sports rehabilitation, Katelyn wants her patients to feel supported, understood, and confident as they work toward getting back to the activities and everyday moments they love.

And Commonwealth already feels a little like home! Katelyn previously completed a clinical rotation with our team and knew the supportive, welcoming environment was where she wanted to begin her career.

Outside the clinic, Katelyn loves spending time with her husband and their dogs, Oakley and Luna, renovating their 100-year-old home, and visiting Lake Cumberland—and they’re getting ready to welcome a baby girl later this year!

We’re so happy to officially have you on the team, Katelyn! 👏

✨So many new faces - hey everyone, meet Rachel Adams, PT, DPT!
We’re excited to welcome Rachel to the Commonwealth Hand & Physical Therapy team! 💙

Rachel’s passion for physical therapy began after watching her grandfather go through rehabilitation following a spinal cord injury. Her own experiences with injuries and rehab as a dancer only strengthened that passion and ultimately inspired her to pursue a career helping others move better and improve their quality of life.

Rachel enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic and neurologic conditions, with special interests in vestibular rehabilitation, spine-related conditions, and post-operative care. Most importantly, she loves helping each patient work toward the goals and activities that matter to them.

When she’s not in the clinic, Rachel loves reading, traveling, exploring new coffee shops, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with her husband, Harrison, and their dog, Kristen.

We’re thrilled to have Rachel caring for our Frankfort community. Help us give her a warm welcome! 👏

🎉 We’ve got another new face for you to meet! Please join us in welcoming Hayden Sheroan, PT, DPT, to Commonwealth Hand & Physical Therapy! 💙

A runner himself, Hayden’s own experiences with injury and physical therapy helped shape the kind of provider he wanted to become—one who gets to know his patients, works alongside them throughout recovery, and helps them return to the sports and activities they love.

Hayden is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a special interest in the performance side of physical therapy. Outside the clinic, he enjoys running, hunting, serving with the middle school ministry at his church, and spending time with his wife, India, their dog, Wego, and family and friends.

We’re so glad you’re here, Hayden! Help us welcome him to the Georgetown team! 👏💙

From Division I swimmer and professional athlete to physical therapist—Briggs Alexander, PT, DPT, is bringing a unique perspective to our Georgetown team! 💙

As an athlete and coach, Briggs knows firsthand the physical and mental work that goes into training, recovering from injury, and getting back to doing what you love. That experience shaped his passion for helping patients build strength, regain confidence, and realize, “I can do this again.”

Briggs is especially passionate about working with athletes and active individuals and believes great care goes beyond treating an injury, it’s about understanding the whole person and helping them feel confident in what their body can do.

We’re excited to have Briggs at Commonwealth Hand & Physical Therapy! Georgetown, help us give him a big welcome! 👏

Too many people are waiting longer than they have to get help for pain.

The Pain Perspective, Confluent Health's study on chronic pain and musculoskeletal care, found that many patients wished they’d known physical therapy was an option sooner.

And here’s something you may not realize: in many states, you can start PT without a physician referral, depending on state laws and insurance coverage.

Pain doesn’t always have to be something you just “live with.” Know your options. 💜

Join us in welcoming Megan Claypoole, PT, DPT, to the team! 💙 She has a true passion for helping patients regain their independence, reach their goals, and get back to the things that matter most.

Her path to physical therapy is personal. Growing up, Megan watched her sister go through rehabilitation after sustaining a brain injury in a car accident. Seeing the difference physical therapy made in her sister's recovery and independence left a lasting impact and inspired Megan to build a career helping others overcome challenges of their own.

Originally from Flemingsburg, Megan is excited to continue growing as a clinician while caring for our Berea community. Outside the clinic, she loves working out, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her family—including her new husband and their dog, Koda!
We're so excited to have you, Megan!
