On World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, we're highlighting the important role hospice and palliative care play in helping patients and families navigate serious illness.

Both hospice and palliative care focus on comfort, quality of life and support, helping patients receive care that aligns with their goals and wishes. Palliative care can begin at diagnosis and alongside treatment. Hospice care is typically chosen when treatment is no longer working or a patient decides to stop curative treatment for a terminal illness, shifting the focus to comfort, quality of life and support for both the patient and their loved ones.

He spent yesterday afternoon at Green Palms Health and Rehab of Crawford decorating cupcakes with the residents and staff, complete with beautiful edible flowers! Everyone had a great time showing off their creativity and creating sweet masterpieces.

Yesterday afternoon, Jason joined Danbury Senior Living Mentor for their "Amazing Race" themed week, which showcases a different country each day. Yesterday, residents explored the vibrant culture of Puerto Rico!🌴🇵🇷🚗

Residents enjoyed authentic Puerto Rican snacks and beverages while learning about the country's traditions, history, and way of life from staff members who proudly shared their Puerto Rican heritage. Thank you to Danbury for creating such an engaging and enriching experience for residents.
