In Chinese medicine, one way this can show up is as dampness — heaviness, fog, bloating, stuckness, fatigue, and that feeling that something in you just isn’t moving.

Most people have no idea how much tension they’re holding!!

And I don’t just mean physically.

Tension is emotional. Energetic. It’s the way we tighten around life.

We tense around uncertainty.
�We tense around pressure.
�We tense around what we haven’t fully processed.

Over time, that holding becomes normal.
�Until something helps us soften.

A massage.
�Acupuncture.
�A cry.�A deep breath.
�A moment of safety.

And suddenly it’s like:�whoa… I had no idea I was holding so much.

What we hold in the system creates stagnation.
�In the body. In the energy. In our capacity to receive.

A healthy system needs both release and nourishment.

If you’re always trying to clear, purge, detox, process, and let go — but you’re not nourished enough to actually integrate what’s arising — the system just grips again.

We need nourishment to release.
�And we need release to receive.
It’s a dance.

I’m raising boys who will know that a woman is not here to disappear.

Not into service.
Not into martyrdom.
Not into managing everyone and everything while calling it love.

The moment I became a mother, I knew I wanted my sons to understand what it means to honor a woman’s nature.

Her rhythm. Her body. Her boundaries. Her humanity. Her power.

Because when women are undernourished, overextended, and carrying it all, that pattern doesn’t just affect us.

It becomes inherited.

And I am here to break that pattern in my home and in my lineage.

Happy Earth Day! 🌎🌳✨🤍

Coming out: I pour my period blood on my plants and I’m not sorry about it. 🌱😉

Here’s the thing — menstrual blood is incredibly nutrient-rich. Nitrogen, phosphorus, iron. Your garden is literally out here waiting for it.

The ritual I use is simple:
🩸 Collect in a menstrual cup or bowl
💧 Dilute with water
🌍 Pour at the roots — a tree, your garden bed, a potted plant you love.

And then just… stay for a moment.
Feel the ground under your feet. Share some gratitude. Let yourself be in relationship with something bigger than you.

That’s it. That’s the whole ritual.
You can make it fancy or you can make it simple.

There’s something quietly revolutionary about refusing to see your body as waste. About saying this is medicine and meaning it.

Your cycle is not a problem to manage. It’s an amazing way to sync with the Earth and to offer her something in the way she offers so much to us.

The earth welcomes your connection. 🌙
