Tomorrow I head back to the California Coast for the incredible opportunity to be a part of another retreat.

I will have the privilege of facilitating daily meditation, aromatherapy experiences & providing Reiki energy clearing sessions for each participant. The Spring retreat is being held at a lavender farm & I’m dreaming about waking up with the warm California sunshine and the smell of beautiful freshly blooming lavender in the air!

“It’s all in the cards”

Today I had a beautiful Reiki session that ended with pulling three Oracle cards for the past, present, and future. We spent time reflecting on the messages and making meaningful connections together. ✨

Oracle cards are such a beautiful way to connect with Divine guidance and your own intuition. There is always something there for us when we slow down and listen.

Imposter syndrome is that feeling that you’re somehow “faking it”. That despite your accomplishments, experience, or success, you’re going to be exposed as “unqualified.”

Sometimes it sounds like:
✨ “Who am I to do this?”
✨ “What if I fail?”
✨ “What if people realize I don’t know enough?”
✨ “What if people find out I don’t make as much money as they think I do?”

The real work isn’t waiting until the fear disappears.
The real work is doing it scared.
Doing it uncomfortable.
Planning for imperfection.
Showing up consistently even when we don’t see immediate results…and continuing forward.

Imposter syndrome can sneak up in different ways.
Sometimes it looks like overworking and constant hustle in an attempt to “earn” your place.
Sometimes it looks like self-sabotage… avoiding the very things that could help create success because fear gets too loud.

Imposter syndrome has come up in many coaching conversations recently. It doesn’t always show up by name, but the clues are always there. And when we unpack it, it’s usually a sign that we are stepping outside of our comfort zone, trying something new, or expanding what we believe is available to us. And these are great things!🙌

One of the best ways to loosen the grip of imposter syndrome is to share those thoughts and fears in trusted spaces: with a coach, therapist, a group, or one of your biggest believers and supporters. Sometimes simply speaking those fears out loud, or even journaling about them, can take away some of their power and remind you that you’re not alone in what you’re feeling… and that thoughts are not truth.💗
